Dark and deserted at 1815

Does everybody know something that I don't? Well yes, I suppose everybody does know something that I don't - at least one thing each, surely. But with even the staff having deserted their post I had to check in case I had missed a government warning to all citizens of an alien invasion. I hadn't. There is another general election coming though, which may be worse. I will switch off from it all, then cast my pointless vote, or perhaps not actually, and await the return of the sun.
